While seeking a good picture to emphasize this “verse of the day” I immediately chose this stone wall with the square “window.” Why?

Windows let in light. My intention is to meditate on this verse, and visual, to see why God led me to it. He says He will “remove our heart of stone,” and “give us a heart of flesh.”

I think God wants to tear down that stone wall (heart) and reveal the real Life it is “protecting.” (We all set up walls to “protect” ourselves, our privacy, our hurt feelings etc.)

He wants to let His Light shine into the whole place, not just through a tiny (dark, by the way) window in our heart. He wants to make us vulnerable, soft, open and malleable. He wants to change us from the inside out!

Dear God,
Thank You for loving us enough to form us, on the inside, into Your image. Sometimes a rock pick is all that is necessary to break through our wall, and sometimes a wrecking ball. But, in prayer, on behalf of us all I am asking You to remove our wall of stones in whatever way You deem necessary.

In my own life I have been “Gracefully Broken,” as the song says. But seeing as how there are shards still remaining… I surrender to whatever means You desire to remove all the stone of my heart and make me the person “You Say” I am.

Thank You God Jesus. Your heart and soul and body were likened unto a “Temple” of amazing stones that were able to be rebuilt and inhabited by Your Holy Spirit in only three days! *
Rebuild our hearts, beginning today. We welcome the Light of Life.
Amen. ☀️

“They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?”
John‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭NIV
